Today, I went and explored the Melton Hill Lake area on my bike. When I got back to my car, there were lots of people taking pictures of ducks. There’s a little bit of a joke running that Nikon photographers shoot cats and Canon photographers shoot ducks when they have nothing else to shoot. I don’t like bringing out a super-tele when there are lots of people around because of the inevitable “conversation” that will soon follow.

“Man, will that fit on my camera?” (Then proceeds to show me their Kodak Easyshare.)
“What kind of camera is that? I bet it takes good pictures!” (They’re actually right. The 5D Mark II is an amazing camera.)
“Wow! That thing must have a lot of zoom.” (Actually it’s just 1x zoom, ’cause it’s a prime lens.)

I could probably go on. What are some of the phrases you hear?
