Thursday night was a special throwback night at Farragut High School. I was assigned to cover both games in the double header. The first game was Karns vs Bearden and the second game was Oak Ridge vs Farragut. Popcorn, soft drinks, and hot dogs were only 50 cents. The teams all wore old-timey uniforms and used wooden bats. This gave me one of my first opportunities to capture a broken bat at the high school level. During each of the games, there was also a silent auction to benefit the National Parkinson Foundation. Karns won the first game 7-1.
